they are wearing the same black t shirt
all good fathers want
is to keep their babies warm

warm in the face of  deepening imperialist crisis
warm in the cold river waters
warm when forced to flee

we cannot fit the worlds babies in one t shirt
so we have to respond to imperialism
with people’s war

on the banks
and in death
all good fathers want
is to keep their babies warm

imperialism and revisionism
a two headed snake that has devoured el salvador
forced the drowning of a good man and a baby girl

and the saddest photograph I have ever seen
is a fitting monument to the siamese twins
reaction and revisionism

every good father
who just wishes to keep his baby warm
should be compelled to pick up the riffle
and march the twins into the same grave
